Understand the frustration of players who love this universe, but it’s a mistake to write this game off. It has mechanics I find fun levels, skill points, and the ability to switch weapons, where I have them all at my fingertips but can choose freely when and which one I want. This game is honestly not as bad as people make it out to be and if you love the Alien franchise I don't think you should ignore it. After buying it on sale and beating the main campaign on Soldier (normal difficulty) I realized it wasn't a dumpster fire of a game and I went back for more, this time beating both the main campaign and the DLC in the hardest difficulty. I don't think this would have been seen in as bad of a light if not for all of the discourse around the marketing and execs who don't know how to leave the spotlight.
