The different boss mechanics can be quite punishing (its a difficult game) but making the player run back and forth every time you die is just the ultimate time wasting mechanic. Its definitely unique, but personally I would rather play other games where you can interact more with the boss, compared to spending 5mins to try and hit a small hitbox, dying, then spending another 30s running back to the boss again. It's an alright short game, art is good, gameplay is very straightforward, music is ok with some standouts. I think it's best to think of it as a sort of puzzle game, every boss has some kind of gimmick that you have to figure out, most of them feel pretty finicky to deal with and I honestly didn't find a lot of them to be fun.
