Despite its shortcomings with somewhat cluncky combat and obtuse level design, SPB holds up as an experience worth traveling. This game reminds me just how important indie titles are to gaming. burn burn never return.

Generally just a good game: solid 7/10 Really more of a horror-themed action game than a true horror-survival. The game focuses on fast paced/precise action, only giving you the illusion of item management, as enemies make frequent drops. Puzzles are no-brainers, bosses are challenging and fun, world building and story are "whatevs", just about everything is what you'd expect from a niche "coffee-table" game like…

I wish I could recommend this game because the movement and combat feel so clean. But the final act of the game is just so insufferable it might be one of the worst gaming experiences I've had to bear in the last decade. Not to mention that on top of the poor level design in the final act, it is completely possible to soft-lock yourself to the point that you are unable to finish the game. The developers completely…
