Even though its from 1998, the game is still great fun to play and im impressed by how well its stood the test of time, the campaign is excellent, the combat is fun and the level design is probably one of the game’s best features, i really like how the story unfolds during the gameplay itself, without having to stop all the time to watch cutscenes, the atmosphere at black mesa is also excellent and makes the…

I really wanted to like this game, but it just does not hold up. I can appreciate the story, the gun play and such. I can recognize how influential this game was. Teasing parts of the level, that will be accessable only much later was my favorite part of the game and that kind of level design genuinely makes me shed tears of joy.
