Most of what I know about Mega Man is from watching other people play it, but I can recognize a good retro game when I see one. As far as I can tell the game is very faithful to the series, and it is certainly as hard as any NES game. It's a fine Mega Man game, but there are some flaws. Too many spike deaths, for one. An overreliance on insta-death does not make a game challenging, it makes it frustrating. A pretty good Mega Man clone brought down by some lag and the inputs being delayed. The lag is no big deal, but the inputs are a real problem. Because of this, quick and precise jumps aren't trustworthy. Hopefully the devs will fix this issue. However, the game has been like this for over a year now, so I'm not expecting much.
