This is a solid strategy game with tower defense and base building. There's a horde out there seeking to overrun you from almost every direction. There's plenty to unlock and you gain resources whether you win or lose. These allow you to customize your army units as well as unlock perks. I would say no to getting this game, or at least not yet. It is really well made, even if the difficulty ramps up exponentially in later waves. I would like an option to limit incoming waves and make it peaceful after the objective, or to lower the difficulty, since it's still too hard to survive beyond the minimum number of waves. Still, it's missing some quality-of-life features, like a refund mechanic for troops…

I like the game, however I kind of didnt understand the ship system, made it quite a few missions in and realized I didn't upgrade the ship at all, but the ship upgrade resource doesnt accumulate like the resources after missions, so I lost a ton of work my "engineers" could have been doing, and I could have had to upgrade me ship...
