There was once a wide-spread discussion about violence in videogames and as a result, many devs and gamers became pretty angry at everybody who pushed that trend. So, this game was made as a middle finger/a response from gamers/devs community, sort of. But if we look at it today, it's not bad top-down shooter. This particular version is a good remaster with no minuses except of one - why in-game dates were changed…

So I went into Postal 1 knowing that it was a much darker and more serious game than any of its sequels, since it was primarily made to generate outrage and was created before the Postal series really figured out its identity and style. Just play the original. The remake is slop. The characters look like goofy cartoons, not to mention that a lot of the enemies in the game have been gender-swapped, with some of them being race-swapped as well. It completely ruins the immersion. The ending of the game was also changed.
