Little Rocket Lab is an overall fun mishmash of Stardew and Factorio. It doesn't particularly do anything better than either game (except for the 2D illustrations/character art, those are *gorgeous*), but injecting actual character and narrative and pathos really elevates the factory genre. The premise of an automation game in the milieu of a farm sim is somewhat flawed; the day-to-day format makes sense when you have daily tasks like watering your crops and feeding your animals, but in Little Rocket Lab the end of the day is just an arbitrary interruption to your workflow. There are several reasons i can't recommend this game and after spending nearly 80 hours it's save to say i spend enough time playing the game to have an opinion about it. 1.
