Cult classic port. It's the very same game I played years ago. Beside the addition of a VR mode that I can't test and a Steam workshop feature that I am not sure what it is for, nothing changed here; the same bugs remain here from the Vita port. Really great game and one of the best platformers out there! I feel like this is the best Umihara Kawase game to start out with, the levels aren't that hard (except for the crab boss which made me so mad..) and it's nice being able to replay levels infinitely without being sent all the way back to the beginning. It's the most accessible Umihara Kawase game, and in my opinion the best one!

Something about this version of the game feels off. Compared to the Vita version, certain maneuvers are much harder to pull off consistently, and it makes certain collectibles and secret exits even harder to access than they already are. I don't know if it's because of my controller, the increased frame rate, or the input latency of a TV versus a handheld screen. I want to give this game the benefit of the doubt and…
