This is loads of fun. Shmup creator doesn't have very many exciting scoring mechanics (right now, they could be easily patched in), so I think this sort of oldschool style game with lots of set pieces and interesting stage design is definitely the way to go. Sideways thumb. The powerups which change your weapon give you a lot of options: each has 4 different attacks depending on which button you press. You can end up changing your weapon multiple times over a very short period of time which I find disorientating. Each time this happens I have to re-learn what each new weapon does on 4 different buttons, and it just kind of throws me off the jibe and makes it feel like…
