This game rules. Alien Rage is a cover-based shooter with extremely aggressive enemy AI. You're fighting a race of humanoid aliens with a surprisingly varied roster of enemies. You've got invisible enemies that creep up on you with shotguns, huge explosive guys armed with grenade launchers, heavily armoured brutes with miniguns, jetpack troops, and enemies equipped with Quake-style lightning guns that slow you down.…

Visually the game doesn't look bad, especially for it's day. It runs on Unreal Engine 3 and there are enough lens flares to impress Hideo Kojima. Unbalanced enemies are antithetical to it being run 'n' gun shooter inspired by classic FPS games, turning it more into a shoot 'n' retreat. It only resembles a run 'n' gun shooter when there are select perks equipped, which are unlocked gradually by building up points…

There are so many bugs and lag spikes in this game, particularly on modern PC hardware. It’s not optimized for it at all. Very few weapons and an uninteresting storyline. On top of that, the high difficulty works against the game rather than adding any real value. Just a mediocre game you play once and forget
