It's always nice to see a monster-collecting game that isn't trying to be Pokémon, but is in fact doing its own thing, top to bottom. The TL;DR of it all? It's a great game, with a solid core gameplay and a lot of room for creating your own unique creatures - and your own unique BUILDS, carefully tuned to tear through all opposition. Its pretty neat! However.. The Gameplay is extrememly repetitive, fight monsters, earn currency, use currency to evolve. It doesn't get any further from that. Besides the grindy sides of things, the endless creativie posibilities give a chance to experiment and learn with their new evolved voidling in action, making the playthrough somewhat unique.

Was super hyped playing the beta, loved the first couple hours. But most new creatures just seemed weaker/more gimicky then the one's you start with, map design just starts getting a bit bland, same for the enemies. Progression really just feels like; damage number go up asides from the occasional new type of attack you get. Walking around the ship was fun for a bit but just got annoying to run down for my eggs…
