One of those times when I had to think if I recommend this or not. At the start, Dave the Diver is a very fantastic concept: Explore the ocean, harpoon some fishes, make sushi out of fishes, serve said sushi, use profit to upgrade gear. Fun loop, pleasing playability, all good. Plot advances, things happen, animations good, characters funny. Then, it changes. You get employees to manage. You get the ability to grow…

the art is really good, very charming. the game looks amazing visually, but playing it felt repetitive, like i was doing the same thing over and over with the only goal to be able to do that thing better next time. there is a story, but it took too long for me to progress i just ended up bored. also, generative AI is used to assist with translation. tldr characters fun, art charming, gameplay felt slow and…
