About the game

Xeodrifter is the story of an interstellar drifter traveling the stars on a simple mission of exploration. We join our nomad as he embarks on the investigation of a small cluster of four planets in the omega sector, after a collision with a rogue asteroid damaged his warp core.

This game was far more noteworthy on the 3DS during the Great Metroid Drought of 2007-2017, and indie Metroivanias have popped the frick off since this game was made, but it's cute, has its own personality, and while imperfect, still a good time overall if you're curious. I think that there is a solid foundation to a good game here, but truthfully this one just wasn't for me. I don't think it's bad by any means so I don't want to leave a negative review. I just didn't click with it. Maybe if I try it again in the future and my opinion changes I will update my review.

Technically this is a pretty nice game, if you could play it. I enjoyed the game before it was broken, so if you manage to get it properly running.. It is good. I wanted to replay it in 2026 and my only working resolution was in 420x240/480x270 on a widescreen or a 16:9 monitor. It went through all possible combinations (2x, 3x, fullscreen off/on, aspect ratio etc.) , but nothing works. Only 1x scale (thats soooo…
