This game is the chemotherapy to the cancer of Serious Sam 4. Everything that SS4 did wrong, this game does right. Skip that one, get this one, you will not miss a thing. It plays and feels like the older Serious Sams and has numerous classic level secrets as well. Much better than SS4 in every way. That said, because the project is built on a terrible foundation that is SS4, the gameplay suffers. There is only so much these developers could have done here. So, If you hated SS4, you will not like this one that much. Give these talented guys resources to create their own SS game (a mainline game or even the final game of the series) and watch them fly. I played this game on 4k, maxed out with 9070xt, avg fps 120, I played it again with RTX3070 on 1080p everything set to lowest and got avg of 95fps, so this game does not work almost at all on nvidia GPUs and I no longer have AMD gpu to play it on, also with nvidia even with 95fps the game still feels like 30fps, I also have 1080ti but to lazy to test it out it would probably have +/- 5% same performance as 3070.
