About the game

Gold Rush! takes you back to the year 1849, when gold was discovered in California. It was certainly one of the most exciting times in American history. Gold Rush! includes the three routes tens of thousands took to the gold regions. Become Jerrod Wilson and experience each trek as you travel from New York to California.

If you can get past the parser interface (you'll have to actually type with correct spelling with the approved verbs) this version seems to have fixed some of the timing issues (particularly the 'normal is timestop') in…

It’s not like today’s point and click game where you click on a location and the character will move there. You have to use your arrow keys to direct every step of the movement. You also have to instruct the character what to do. Encountering another character will not automatically trigger conversation. You have…

The game is unplayable past the hotel. Something happened where you can't type a number when the hotel keeper asks what room you're in.
