I bought Cairn thinking it would be kind of a chill game. You know, a fun little game about climbing a big mountain. I genuinely like this game. I'm intrigued by Aava, her relation to the climb and how it resonates with me, and I adore the vibes the wilderness gives off. But the core mechanic is way too frustrating for me to keep playing. The system feels very, very junky - from the automatic limb selection system, that 9/10 times selects the only limb which is fine and shouldn't move, to the amount of times the character keeps…
