Wonderful! The first one is still my all time favorite Halloween game, but this expands upon all the concepts in smart ways. As a turn-based RPG it's still extremely simple, but I don't think anyone's really here for strategy. There are certainly times when it's so easy it can become a bit mindless (even if you're going for the candy corn achievement), but it's a short game so it doesn't overstay its welcome. Great…

So much better than the first!!!! The graphics are better, the story seems more straight forward, and the combat is better. The creepy treat system also seems more balanced and the puzzles make way more sense. I wish it made sense without the first game, but its still fantastic!!

Alrighty, so what if we made the first game but with worse combat, slower pacing, annoying to navigate UI, and make take a chunk of the original charm of the first game. It took me about 5 hours to beat the base game of Costume Quest 1, it took me 2.5 hours to beat the first boss of Costume Quest 2. I think that says enough.
