About the game

Legend of Grimrock 2 is a dungeon crawling role playing game with a modern execution but an oldschool heart. A group of four prisoners have shipwrecked on the secluded Isle of Nex. The island is filled with ancient crumbled ruins, mysterious shrines and a vast underground network of dungeons.

Legend of Grimrock 2 is the last dungeon crawler that truly captured the spirit of old-school gaming while still delivering modern gameplay. This game had everything. And I mean EVERYTHING. The balance is damn near perfect. Every item feels like an actual discovery, not another piece of vendor trash with a fucking +5 slapped on it. Every perk matters. I played Grimrock 1 a long time ago, loved it, but purchased Grimrock 2 some time later and never played it, thinking it was just going to be more of the exact same thing as the first game.... and it is, but I have to admit that it is so much more. For the first time, I feel like we're actually exploring a real world, and not just interior dungeons within a world largely unknowable and unexplorable. G2 changes that.…

Game often crashes when I try to save, wiping all progress since the previous save. A quick google search suggests this is not a unique experience. It seems like it would be a fine game, if it functioned properly.
