While it isn't complete garbage, Dr. Atominus is in no way worth the price of admission. If you want to play a minimalist metroidvania, Moonlaw offers a very similar experience (including some of the same problems) and is absolutely free. The biggest (only) redeeming factor to Dr. Atominus is the rather silly epilogue that offers a slightly more challenging area than the rest of the game that is one room long, but…

What I liked: -The 8-bit aesthetic -Dialogue was delightful =) -Music was good -Keyboard-only controls are OK What I didn't like: -The story isn't very deep -I completed all the achievements in 1.5 hours. Conclusion: To support the creator, I'm not going to refund the game and I'll give a recommendation. However, be the judge if you believe paying $5.69 CDN is worth completing everything in 1.5 hours.
