When the game caught my attention a few days before its release, I was sold on the promised Choplifter vibes, but it's so much more than just retro, with its vibrant backdrops, cool pixel characters and aircrafts, and pain-filled screams of ungrateful evacuees. They nailed the goofy PlayStation 1 action game esthetic with this one. I love the small touch of having the rescue people react as you tear thru the level. They scream as you pull hard maneuvers. They make bubbling, drowning sounds if you dip them in the water. Good stuff.

So sad. Indie devs posting on reddit how they spend 7 years to make this. I really wanted to support them and write a positive review, but just cant. What's the problem? Your journey ends on the first boss which is poorly executed and I don't know what kind of voodoo magic you need to beat it and its poor technical execution.
