I'm just here to do what I should've a while ago. I have 3K hours on soulstorm, and this series of games is the greatest simple RTS ever made. Hopefully the 4th game will shake the curse of the 3rd, it'll be really funny if Total War 40K will be the only 40K strategy game worth playing. This game is great and one of the titles I recommend everyone give a try. I hope DoW4 isn't shit.

As a dude who's only played space marine 2 and was sceptical that this game is even better than space marine 2, I can say that this game is the best intereduction to the warhammer 40k universe, but, I you want to get the game you will need to choose between to two editions of it: 1. Warhammer Dawn of War from 2004 now bundled together in one entry. This game predated Steam's DLC feature so previously, you had four entries for the same game (but different expos). Now you just have one. It seems they've removed LAN functionality. Bad form. Leave it in, even if it's 'not used that often'. People still do have offline LAN parties.
