Diesel Railcar Simulator is exactly its title: a diesel railcar driving simulator. Its primary focus is on British diesel multiple-units and diesel locomotives around the turn of the 60s. I'd like to impress upon readers this game is not an immersive simulator, not in the truest sense. DRS shares most in common with traditional rail vehicle simulators, not so much with immersive sandbox titles like Derail Valley.…

Charming and straightforward train simulator with a surprising amount of built in tutorialization and hints to make learning the game a lot easier. Great cameras and sense of speed. Didn't know how much I liked diesel railcars and their funny transmissions until playing this game.

After the dev rugpulled us by pivoting to a different game, we finally got another major update and its marquee feature is a new UI. Which would be fine if it was *good* UI but it is not. Even leaving that aside, this game is too much of a one-trick pony to justify the asking price. The routes that are included feel incomplete and feel "fake" in that everything is just built in ways that don't feel very plausible.…
