I vaguely enjoyed Lucifer Among Us, but it's more of a vertical slice or tech demo for a set of mechanics and a setting than it is a game. What we have here is timeline-driven detective game. A murder occurs, and you hear testimony from suspects, which is arranged in a scrubbable timeline. By finding contradictions between their testimonies, or physical evidence that contradicts the testimonies, you psychologically…

I really wanted to like this game but i found the broad solutions to the mysteries to be blindingly obvious and the process of finding the smaller details of those solutions tedious. The twist in the story feels shocking for the sake of being shocking but i wasn't invested enough in the world or characters to care. I bought it on sale so i don't feel too put out but there is NO WAY this is worth 20 whole dollars.
