So I just picked this game up and I know its a few years old, but it was a great deal to pass up. I have read a lot of the feedback and remarks regarding the oxygen etc... and though I find it challenging, I have managed it fine. Really enjoying Beyond Contact so far. What I like the most is how the survival, base building and lore all work together instead of feeling like 3 separate systems. The survival is pretty fun because Ketern actually feels hostile. You have to think about things like oxygen, food, temperature and the creatures around you. This is one of those games where the yes/no recommend largely depends on what you like. For me it's a no, but it could very well be something for you. First of all, I really wanted to like the game. It feels pretty well done, polished, it looks nice and plays nice. It feels fairly intuitive, it doesn't take a lot of research to figure out how to play.
