Bird of the north is a really clever obra dinn ripoff (laudatory) made by a very nice person that absolutely needs a co-developer or something. The core gameplay replaces “fill in the names and deaths of these people in a flashback” with “choose what these people were saying in the moment of the flashback from a pre-written list.” That’s a brilliant iteration and it should’ve stopped there, but the developer Wile E.…

There’s a lot to like here. Great presentation, and a fine story. The game is centered around assigning dialogue to characters in dioramas, with wrong options mixed in. The English translation is awkward, unnatural and sometimes dosen’t make sense, which can make it a bit of a challenge to actually find the correct answer. Game could be vastly improved by a proper English translation.
