★★★★☆ West of Loathing is worth the full price. Despite the goofy presentation of the game, the game takes itself somewhat seriously with story beats and worldbuilding, which just amplifies the goofiness even better, it's very sincere in its humor which makes the game very enjoyable. The combat is fun, gameplay has cool side quests and areas to check out, and the game is paced out pretty well. It's a fun silly time.

A very short, sweet little game (that has surprisingly well-crafted puzzles/hidden interactions). Despite the silly graphics, I really feel all the love put into the writing, witty jokes, references and music. I'm glad I gave it a chance, and you definitely should too!

The creator of this game, Zack, abused his ex wife both emotionally and physically. Zack also defended his ex wife's rapist. I wish I had known of the accusations and what had happened before purchasing this game + the DLC.
