About the game

Step foot into the lair of the Insect God...if you dare. Face brutal enemies in pulse-pounding combat with digitized sprites that harken back to your favorite controversial fighting game from the ’90s that your mom’s hairdresser’s kid let you play that one time. The castle awaits…

I really enjoyed this game. I beat it after about 11 hours of playtime, on varying difficulties. The story was unique and the balance of puzzles, collectables, and progression was good. I particularly liked the unique visuals and the charm of the game. Glad I bought the game and finished it.

EDIT: Verdict after 100% completion in 26 hrs? Absolute cinema. The other review mentioning Nine Sols is spot on. Perfect Block has the juice, especially when you can chain it mid combo. The zones feel far more visually distinct than I was expecting; the photo real style doesn't feel tiring or homogenous. One small complaint, I seem to have a bug where occasionally green chests aren't "x'd" on the map after opening.…
