FOR CONTEXT: I'm a mid-40s dad who has precious little time and has never 100% a game. Very casual, but very experienced. Take that for what you will. I wasn't sold on this initially... I like city builders and roguelikes, but what I like about them are kind of at odds. I like the slow deliberate creativity of a city builder, and the quick progression and challenge of a roguelike. So... Combolands seemed weird. But…

At 8 hours in, maxed all guilds (except secret one) and all difficulties beaten...this is a cute little game, but very sparse on content and rather easy. Does not scratch itch of city builder because your cities are...well, just hodge podge of random lightly themed buildings.

Maybe I'll try it again sometime, but I didn't really like it so far. Main issue is that it's trivially easy. I won my first and second run while essentially playing on autopilot, and I don't see a way to increase the difficulty further, so there is no challenge at all.
