My friend described this game as "this game is made of c***s". I got so stressed that I said "my dick was in my mouth" instead of "my heart was in my mouth". I think that perfectly illustrates how difficult this game is.

In a strict "game" sense, Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope fares worse than its source material--namely Zelda II/DuckTales (where it borrows the main pogo-jump gimmick from) and, to a lesser extent, Ninja Gaiden and Castlevania--for being "cheaper": it's troll-ish with enemy placement (and some spawn, at times literally, out of thin air) and AI behaviour, it strolls too close leap-of-faith-ey territory with its…
