The trailer's line of "the word's don't matter, it's all about the score" is pretty accurate; the game focuses a lot more on the roguelite Balatro-esque synergies than the words themselves. It's a good roguelite game, but only an okay word game at best compared to something like Pronoun Palace

Awesome game. It's Balatro meets Bookworm. It leans ever so slightly in the Balatro direction over Bookworm, but Bookworm is one of my all-time greats - this scratches myitch. I only have one minor criticism which is that there wild letters are so common that sometimes you are just randomly clicking around to try and make up whatever word matches without knowing what it is. This game is super well made and cute, but it quickly becomes a game of "how many wilds can i string together in a row?" and then the game tells you the word you made. It makes it a lot less interesting gameplay wise and I got bored. I bought it after trying the first character in the demo but all of the different wild types made me like it less. I kind of wish you had to say what letter the wild is, like the blank…
