About the game

Years ago a demoness’s elemental cult ruled from a temple near Nulb until the Circle of Eight razed it. Now bandits stalk Hommlet and dark forces gather at the ruins. In this classic party‑based D&D RPG, unmask their true purpose and confront the reborn evil before chaos engulfs the land.

Complete old-school D&D and NOT for the timid! The game interface is not forgiving, leading to a more realistic battle experience. I like this game precisely FOR it's rough edges and purist approach to D&D as well as the nostalgia for playing in the temple....which was one of the first adventures I ever embarked on with my first DnD group back when the dice were real and the dungeons were printed and everything was…

I bought this game to see if it compared to the original Advanced Dungeons and Dragons module I bought in the 1980s. I'm very pleasantly surprised, even if the rule set is using version 3.5. The graphics are better than games of a similar age (e.g. Civ III, Pirates) and the options for gameplay are well thought out.

too old; the travelling (walking) is painful, and the initial fights are too deadly
