Short and sweet; engaging and intriguing – and chilling, in a creeping-Lovecraftian-dread kind of way. Or maybe in a creeping-fascism kind of way. Or both. You'll want to have a notebook handy; the game does take some notes for you, and they're helpful, but they're unlikely to be sufficient.

I enjoyed my time with this game - I really enjoyed that there was both the "find things" mechanic but also there was more to it. Having voice acting for the entries was a true treat, as was having a variety of real-world materials! I also appreciated that finding yourself at one ending didn't lock you out of trying others. Side note - wow, this game was prescient in a few ways.

this game fucking sucked. like was so awful. the 'cold' beginning made easing into the game very difficult, and the mechanics really are not all that self-explanatory, but the devs clearly think it was. there was a minute there when i was tracking down titles and codes and building the list that it felt somewhat engaging but that did not last long. the ending had me frustrated to the point of literal tears. i'm like…
