Trauma manifest > Ghosts Detention is a game disturbing for none of the reasons you would expect. To go into the theming too deeply would undermine the way that the story evolves, so I would encourage simply picking it up and giving it a play. Frankly, i'm not a huge fan of these slow, sidescrolling horror games, but I wanted to check out what RedCandleGames made before the excellent Nine Sols. While this game's narrative ends up being relatively good as an idea, the execution and slow pace detracted from the experience, as well as the gameplay being boring with puzzles and enemies that failed to engage me in any meaningful way.
