Unpacking made me cry over a fictional character's life choices, but Packing Life made me realize that working in a warehouse is actually a high-stakes puzzle game. The camera controls can be a bit clunky, but honestly, fitting that last awkwardly shaped item into the box gives a massive dopamine hit. Perfect game to play while listening to a podcast. Super chill.

I have mixed feelings. Packing Life essentially turns working at a fulfillment warehouse into a cute, romanticized game. The story tries hard to be emotional, but it can feel a bit melodramatic for a game about packing boxes. If you want a mindless 3D Tetris clone to play while watching YouTube on your second monitor, get it on sale.

In the end I can't recommend this game. The premise is so so close to perfection, but the quality of the game is... highly lacking. There's game-breaking bugs that force you to completely start over the day, and other mechanics just make things more annoying if anything. The tutorial is completely bugged as well, and nothing fixes it except for Alt + F4'ing, and then having to skip it. Then the annoyances come in on…
