Metal Slug if it was a metroidvania? Pretty fun, some small nagging issues that I find hard to put into words but not enough to put me off leaving a positive review As a metroidvania style of game is somewhat slower-paced than an actual Metal Slug so something to keep in mind. All in all I'd say if you see it on sale then its a game worth picking up.

A solid metrovania game. A few points though. The amount of primary weapons are... Well, let's just say they're limited. Pistols, pistols and... More pistols. Each one with slightly better damage, that's it. No thrills here. I do wish there were some variety to it. That however is mostly remedied by the ammo-based weapons, which, there are loads of! I wanted to love this game because it's a great mashup of Metal Slug/Metroid/Metal Gear, instead of it being really fun it's a frustrating jumble of incoherent map points, terrible controls, enemies that can shoot through every solid object (when you can't shoot back) and numerous hidden objects that you need to progress, but get zero hints on how to find them.
