I thought dmc5 was my favorite for a while but nah its definitely this one. the combat is essentially the same but I just like the aesthetic of this game the most. Whether a dmc veteran or a new player, this one is easy to jump into, though its recommended to play them in order.

I've played it a lot when it came out and had a blast. However, revisiting it in 2026 revealed so many flaws that I used to put up with back when it was released without complaining. It would be cool if we can just play nero/dante campaign normally and treat it like the vanilla version but the special edition has performance and inertia issues. The reason I complete all the achievements is just because I was already in too deep when I realize all of these so I can't back down and I can't refund it either. I would give a recommend but say to get vanilla instead cause if you get this you can play…
