Deck-building but instead of a deck you're putting spaces on a game board shuffled up at random It works very well! You in fact get 2 "decks" plus an extra grid where you can unlock passive effects and these mechanics gel together and give you a lot of room to play around with different archetypes. The battles always basically being boss fights where each enemy has some special rules that change how the game must be…

Creator says in the v1.0 news post "play the demo, you'll know if it's your type of game after 5minutes", it was closer to an hour as the mechanics/possibilities really open up with the Aspect Matrix but yeah, very true. I've found turnbased roguelikes to be extremely hit or miss, and this is a big ol' hit, the amount of variety in options in bite-sized packages is chefs kiss.

I did not make it past the 2nd tutorial, the game is already punishing and hard. If you want to sell the game, maybe save the 💩 for alter in the game. What I can say is that I had the most fun when I reFUNded the game.
