A remake of the original Platypus that adds new ideas on top of the gameplay formula while still respecting it. Adding mod support was also the right choice as it allows passionate fans to essentially create their own platypus experiences.

10/10 - Tastes like childhood. I want to preface this saying that (although I fully admit my nostalgia bias) I think that the game stands on its own; the gameplay loop is satisfying, the soundtrack is fitting, and the clay-based graphics are gorgeous. Absolutely adore how Playtupus looks. Claymation is a wonderful, underrepresented art form and it's lovely to see a shmup using it. The soundtrack is okay, though I would have preferred to hear an original score over reworked versions of older chip work. For what it's worth, I can not fault the presentation.
